This is an introductory course in 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional digital imagery. It will include topics such as digital composition, design principles, raster and vector based 2D graphic design and animation, and 3D modeling and animation. The student will use the computer's set of tools, digital cameras and scanners to create and edit digital designs for a wide range of purposes including fine art and art for publication.
Multimedia [Course #2002]: Taught by Ms. Samuelson and Coach White
This course is designed to teach students
to utilize presentation software for class
projects and oral presentations. Students
will need to use critical thinking skills as
they use various types of software to create
multimedia presentations. They will
integrate live action and still video, graphics,
videodisc, and scanned pictures into
computer presentations for many subject areas. This course will prepare students to
use these skills in future courses, college,
and work place.
Web Mastering [Course #2007]: Taught by Ms. Samuelson
This course familiarizes students with
the creation and management of web
pages and web sites. Students will learn
basic HTML programming, Dynamic Hypertext
Markup Language [DHTML] and
JavaScript, interactive navigation, web animation,
and web page layout and design.
Throughout the year, students will use industry
standard software to create a wide
range of web sites varying in style and purpose.
At course completion, students will
possess the requisite skills to perform at
the apprentice web designer level.
