Extra Curricular Website

Last week you were instructed to choose 2 or 3 activities that you would be interested in. Today you will draw numbers to choose your activity - no one will do the same one.

Open a new Fireworks file, 960 x 500. On this page you should sketch your layout, including where the banner will be, navigation, what kind of navigation you will use (spry widget, image map, rollovers, etc), headings, content, photos, and anything else that you plan to include.

You will choose your fonts and your color scheme and show where/how they will be used.

In the past you've been told exactly what pages to create, you need to determine the needs for this website and list the pages you will create.

Pick up a "Contact Sheet." Your information must come from the coach, director or sponsor of your activity. They will need to sign off on the sheet when you go talk to them about your project. Keep this contact sheet as your insurance that you've been going to your contact.

Finish your Layout/Storyboard and Flowchart COMPLETELY and turn it in to the S:/Complete for a grade.

Your signed Contact Sheet is due tomorrow for a grade.

Before you start building your website, please create a folder inside your 5th six weeks folder, name it: #_lastname_name_of_your_activity. Make sure there are no spaces or capital letters. Inside that folder create 2 more: images and source. You should know what goes where :) You will need to define your site in Dreamweaver before doing anything else.

You should be at the point where you can start building your template (whether you use the Dreamweaver Template, or just one where you can save as) and your CSS.

In this Template & CSS you should have set:

• Banner
• Navigation, fully linked
• Colors for background, DIV's, headings, etc.
• Fonts for headings, content
• Titles (Cinco Ranch High School, Activity)
• Anything else you want repeated throughout the website.

You should be able to complete your Template and CSS in class today. Once you do, please copy/paste your folder to the S:/Complete for a grade.
